The Journal of Pedagogy has an interdisciplinary approach for dealing with matters from the area of education. It covers issues from the social sciences, psychology, sociology, philosophy, didactics and methodology, pedagogical communication, linguistics, art and music, mathematics and natural sciences. The papers are published in Macedonian language, while the abstracts are translated in English as well.

The structure of the journal generally consists of three rubrics with the following titles:

  1. Theoretical views
  2. Empirical views
  3. From theory to practice
  4. An introduction rubric

The first rubric covers papers of theoretical character, i.e. papers that are based on theoretical scientific approaches when dealing with specific matters from the area of education. The second rubric refers to papers based on scientific research by the author / authors which provide new findings or officially verify and confirm certain assumptions from the area of education. The third rubric allows exchange of experiences. The papers from this rubric are based on the need to exchange established and examined positive practices from the area of education in order to promote development and innovation of different aspects of the education processes and systems.

The Journal of Pedagogy, in all the issues published thus far, has opened with a special rubric which presents only one paper by a prominent author from the area of education. The papers presented in this rubric deal with new and progressive ideas and interpretations regarding different aspects of pedagogy, psychology, sociology and other sciences and scientific areas, which contribute to the development of the scientific thought for human development. Thus far, this rubric has published papers by eminent professors, and some of them teach at universities ranked in the first 500 according to the Shanghai ranking. Here we mention some of them: Prof. Nikola Petrov, PhD, one of the founders of the Faculty of Pedagogy within UKIM, Prof. Roberto Roce, PhD (University of Barcelona), Giuseppe Milan (University of Zagreb), Mikelle de Beni (University of Venice), Ljubica Tomic-Bakic (University of Zagreb), etc.

If a need arises, the journal opens other temporary rubrics, such as: stories, reviews, etc., depending on the significance and character of the submitted papers, as well as their relevance at the time of publishing of the journal.

Regarding the development of the journal, the Editorial Board is willing to promote its further development in order for the journal to be indexed in reputable databases and for it to gain a modern image according to the international quality standards for scientific journals.
